Devon Renaissance
Devon Renaissance is a not for profit partnership of the private sector, local authorities and community-based organisations. Funded primarily by the South West Regional Development Agency, the programme provides grant funding in order to help create prosperity and jobs and improve access to services in rural areas.
Devon Renaissance understands the frustration of the funding maze and the particular issues facing people living and working in rural Devon. The partnership’s Project Development Officers work hand-in-hand with those seeking funding – small voluntary and community groups, businesses and local authorities – to develop good ideas into great projects. Devon Renaissance is not simply a provider of money, the team also gives hands-on project development support as needed.
Projects could range from converting a redundant building to provide business premises or refurbishing a community centre, to providing vocational training for individuals and specialist advice to small businesses, to delivering outreach support and advice to socially excluded people. The partnership offers funding and support for rural regeneration projects across most areas of rural Devon.

Survey of Rural Devon's Businesses
Devon Renaissance have conducted a comprehensive business survey of businesses across rural Devon. The survey looks at the make up of businesses in the area and at their intentions, skills requirements & training, competition & markets, constraints on their growth and productivity, innovation and where businesses go to for advice.
